a challenge of the utmost kind

Above is one of my personal goals for the year 2010, I accepted this challenge from Tif at Dottie Angel, so you can just change my name on the pledge, and make it for the next calendar year. I'm excited by this challenge, I think it will actually be great fun, if I need anything it will become a mini challenge to find it at a local thrift shop, or artisan, or is it something I can make myself? It'll be great fun to find out! One of my other goals kind of goes with this one too, to try not to buy any new craft supplies, if anything needs to be made, it must come from the supplies I already have at home, also, that I have to try and use up a lot of them (especially the fabric which is piling up, I'm thinking quilts and cushions). The prospect is exciting, and I'm thinking it'll be inspiring also! What goals have you set for yourself in the new year? Please share, I'd love to know and maybe you'll even inspire me to add another to my list!

great challenge! I think I could go a year without buying new clothes. Make sure you have "undergarments" - don't want to buy them used! Good luck.

I think this is an incredible challenge. I woke early this morning and told my husband how I wanted to cut back on some of our spending that I saw as waste. It would be great to be creative---now I just have to figure out where to begin!

What a great goal!!!
I especially love the part about using supplies! I'm gonna need a bigger room if I keep up this buying streak!

Wow! That is an incredible challenge! I commend you and those who are up to this! I don't buy a lot of new stuff anyway, but don't think I could go an entire year.
