The leaning tower of pincushions!

Pretty collection of fabrics all in tippy pincushion tower, it looked so nice I thought I'd share them with you.
Sales are coming along on Etsy, and creative juice is still flowing, so all is good for now.
School finishes for the summer tomorrow (yay!), will that make things easier or worse on the productivity side of things, I'm not sure yet.
I'll keep you posted.
Well, the poll looks as if the fate of the yummy yellow yarn is to be knitted up into two pretty bowls. Mmmm, what to decorate them with.......
Thanks for voting!
Have a Happy Wednesday.

Are you paying attention?

So, let's see if anyone out there in the blog black void is paying attention!
I have a skein of yummy yellow yarn, just waiting for it's next project. The question is, should it be knitted into another cute little felted bag like 'spring greens', or a couple of bowls, like 'sunflower'?
To your right is a wee (scottish for little) poll to tally your answers - so go ahead, make your voice heard!
Thanks for playing, and have a happy Wednesday!

More pretty pincushions.

Managed to make a few more pincushions, some super cute fabrics in these, and in yummy colors - pinks, oranges, and chocolate browns.

Stuff, stuff, everywhere!

So much fabric, so little time!
Pincusions to make, and bags, and critters, oh my!
Projects to start, like hair ties, headbands, and maybe magnets........ fun, fun, fun!
Now, if I could just find more hours in the day.....

First sale on Etsy - mark the day!!!!

I had my first sale on Etsy today - it's definitely a Happy Tuesday!
I know it may not be the beginning of a flood of sales, but I'm so happy to get rid of that zero, and I do think people will more inclined to buy from someone with sales and good feedback.
I gave it supercute wrapping and pretty'ed up the mailer - just cross your fingers that the USPS doesn't have a freak accident with it.
Today I'm a very happy camper!

spring greens in the making #2

the next step, was choosing colors of felt and shapes for applique - another fun part!
I was inspired by my daughter's artwork - as shown - to reproduce zinnia seedlings leaves.
I love the way it came out, and will have to buy this color yarn again, it's sooo yummy!
Going to make a cup of tea, have a happy Tuesday!

spring greens in the making

before

after
this 'kiwi' colored yarn is so yummy! Felting is always so much fun, I though I'd give you a pictorial walk through. So, before was just the knitted bag measuring about 12" across. Then, after, was taken after it had been in a couple of hot water cycles, and now measures approx 10" across and 7" deep.
Next step to follow....

cute website!

Just discovered a cute website - http://www.weewonderfuls.com/, you have to check it out!
It's full of cute dolls and the blogger's cute kids, she has a little of everything, knitting, papercrafts, needlecrafts - so pretty.

Hey, what about cute clips?

Come and grab 'em while they're hot!
Super cute felt flowers on little wooden clothespins - they'll pretty up anything.
My favorite use for them is to pin my children's artwork up on a clothesline - adorable!

happy, happy spring!

I love Spring, everything is coming to life.
Although, a gardener's work is never done, it's soo worth it!
Now, if someone could just come over and weed and mulch for me that would be great! lol !

Meet Poppy - or pink/orange bag w/flower and round wooden handles

So, this is my new style of bag - I want to call her poppy, but it might be confusing as the flowers on the 'Kaffe Fassett' fabric are roses and my applique is a purple coneflower (echinacea), which is my one of my favorite flowers, but doesn't have the cutest name!

I'm thinking of giving all my handmade goodies names, instead of just descriptions - let me know what you think - I'll tally up from your comments.

It is lined with another favorite of mine - polka dots! Love them!

Let's see if this can inspire that infamous, but persnickety first sale! Fingers crossed!

Gardening is hard, but sooo worth it!

Happy Tuesday!
The sun is shining and the birds are singing outside my window as I type - it's a good day!
There is so much I need to do in the garden - mulch, plant, seed, feed, mow, etc...
and yet there is so much I need to make to post on Etsy - ideas flowing, stash bags overflowing, etc...
and yet when my little one awakes there will much playing to be done and feeding and watering, etc...
and yet when the school bus arrives there will be more playing and feeding and watering, etc...
and yet, for now I daydream!
